With NDIS coming to Northern Sydney from July 2016, Fighting Chance is committed to supporting our community to get ready for the transition, and to build confidence about entering the scheme.
To achieve this, Fighting Chance will be offering 1:1 Pre-Planning sessions (which we are calling ‘NDIS Navigation’ sessions) with specially trained members of the FC team from March 2016.
The purpose of the 1:1 Navigation sessions are to support you to start thinking about and documenting your goals, which will form the basis of your NDIS plan.
You are much more likely to get an NDIS plan which truely meets your/your person’s needs if you are clear about your goals and the supports required to achieve those goals.
Therefore, during the Navigation sessions our team will support you to start thinking through all the aspects of your/your person’s life, and to start getting your/their goals down on paper.
The idea is that you walk out of the sessions with your thoughts collected and documented, so you are prepared to meet with a representative of the National Disability Insurance Agency after July.
Fighting Chance will be offering these sessions to our community for free. The 1:1 sessions will be run by Brianna, Jo and Sarah, who have all been trained in pre-planning.
If you are interested in setting up a 1:1 Navigation Session, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set up a time that works for you.
