The group covered 1,100kms from Brisbane to Sydney in nine days, averaging well over 100km each day. This included extreme temperatures, head winds, mountains and numerous other challenges from Mother Nature.

We’d also like to thank Simon Noakes, Neville Hedge, David Creecy, Franco Ivancich and Charles Kilby for assisting throughout the ride as support crew.

Fighting Chance is thrilled to report that the Tour de Chance was a major fundraising success with an incredible $452,905 raised.

This money will enable us to:

  • Triple the number of employment, skill development and social participation opportunities we provide to young adults with a disability from 40 to 120;
  • Take our first steps towards national expansion.

In just three years, the Tour de Chance has raised over $850,000. This is life-changing money for the people that Fighting Chance will be able to support.

Like last year, the Tour was also a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Speak to people and communities along about the challenges faced by people with a disabilities when finding employment options, especially in regional Australia
  • Continue to raise the profile of Fighting Chance and increase community awareness about the opportunities the Tour makes possible.

The Tour would not have been possible without the support of our corporate partners. Our Gold Partner, Just Better Care, and: Accident and Health International, Willis, Veloton, Airservices, Aerosure, Byron Bay Coffee Company, Smartsalary, QBE, Hantomeli Foundation, BTAS, Mitsubishi Motors, Carman’s and Deloitte.
