Fighting Chance exists to provide opportunities to people with physical disabilities, and to create the programs which provide the environment for individuals to lead fulfilled and engaging adult lives.
One of our most popular programs is the work experience program for school and TAFE students, which gives students in their last years of education the opportunity to experience the world of work in a supported environment.
In 2013, Fighting Chance welcomed thirteen students into our work experience program, including best friends from Blackwattle Bay High School, Nick and Dan.
The guys joined Fighting Chance back in term three of 2013, and developed their IT and professional interaction skills during their placement.
“The first time I went (to work experience at Fighting Chance), I was a bit nervous”, said Dan. “But the people at Fighting Chance are very nice and I like going there”.
You can find out more about the Fighting Chance work experience program here. Alternatively, if you or someone you know would benefit from a work experience placement at Fighting Chance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
